A CHANGING WORKPLACE

Spanish-speaking Latino workers account for a growing segment of our valued workforce in many industries, including construction, agriculture, hospitality, janitorial, and landscaping. They fill an important need for labor in some of the most hazardous of industries. Unfortunately, their common lack of English-language abilities, combined with their willingness to do anything to obtain and maintain employment leads to increasing workplace fatality and injury rates for this demographic group.

Sandoval Bilingual Safety Solutions was established with the goal to help employers improve the communication of safety to these Latino workers. The goal is to reduce injury and illness rates. This not only reduces the pain and suffering of these workers and their families, it reduces employers’ costs of workers’ compensation insurance and the exposure to costly OSHA violations. Additional benefits include increased morale and productivity, and decreases in employee turnover.
